During the recent “Aprubado sa Konseho” media forum, Quitain said the performance of the City Council in 2024 was good as everybody did their job effectively, and they are just waiting for new items to tackle this year.
Quitain said "So far so good we have everybody performing their assigned task which is to craft ordinances, take care of the items endorsed to their respective committees, and do it on time. We are not after here for speed. I am more concerned with the quality because if you do it so fast you will sacrifice quality. Quality over the swiftness of the committee report."
He also confirmed the city council has no backlog in acting to ordinances and resolutions in 2024.
“We made sure that before 2024 ends we have finished everything. So there will be no backlogs.We finish all the items for 2024,” he said.
“Expect the agenda for the session to be not so much content as we are still waiting for the new items to arrive which simply means all the items for 2022, 2023, and 2024 were all finished. Sana may dumating pa na items para mas marami pa kaming gawin,” he said.
Majority Floor Leader Jesus Joseph Zozobrado lll, for his part is hopeful they will be able to contribute more to the welfare of the Davaeonos through the passage of important ordinances and resolutions.
