Manhunt on other bank robbery, murder suspects continues

Personnel of Davao de Oro Provincial Police Office are continuously intensifying their efforts to track down unarrested robbery suspects, which resulted in the death of a bank security guard in Compostela, Davao de Oro.

This developed after the police arrested alias Johnlee, one of the suspects,  a day after the incident took place on the morning of December 23.

Johnlee was positively identified by the witnesses as one of the suspects of the crime.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 reported that authorities vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide closure to the grieving family of the fallen security guard, named Dhonald James  Pamarisan.

PRO 11 Regional Director, Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete reaffirmed the PNP's commitment to fight criminality. 

He said PRO 11 vowed to pursue the remaining suspects and will leave no stone unturned in bringing them to justice.

“We honor the bravery of the fallen security guard and stand in solidarity with his family during this difficult time,” he said. 

 The robbery occurred when the suspects ambushed bank personnel collecting cash deposits from Mabuhay LCL Commercial, wherein, a security guard valiantly defended his colleagues but was fatally shot. 

The suspects fled with the stolen cash, amounting to more than P3.6 million.

Johnlee is now under the custody of Compostela Municipal Police Station for proper disposition and a case of Robbery with Homicide is being prepared for filing against him.
