Davao City Police Office reported that the fire started at 8:18 a. m between the houses of Alameda Jutoy and Anabelle Cadollo. The fire quickly spread to the neighboring houses, as most were made out of mixed materials.
According to Davao City Fire District spokesman Senior Inspector Frances Marie Sendrijas, the fire was raised to second alarm, which prompted other nearby fire stations to respond to the fire scene.
One-hundred fifty families composed of 452 individuals were affected by the fire.
No one was reported hurt in the fire that damaged an estimated P900,000 worth of properties.
It took firemen less than four hours to contain the raze at 11:54 a.m.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
