Digos City creates history by representing Davraa in Palaro 2024 secondary basketball

DAVAO CITY—This year marks the official end of Davao City's many years of domination in the Palarong Pambansa secondary basketball as the Davao Regional Athletic Association's representative.

Digos City Trekkers, who defeated the home team Davao City Durians 72-69 in their championship match on April 6, became the first Davraa representative aside from Davao City to play in the Cebu City Palaro in July.

Cor Jesu College's players showed resilience and willpower throughout their victory, which raised spirits.

The two key components of Cor Jesu's unexpected victory, according to head coach Babols Senarillos, were their extra concentration on defense and their determination to win the championship. Senarillos stated that their school will employ the same tactic but will exert more effort in Cebu due to the fiercer competition than in Davao City now that their school has the opportunity to win the gold in Palaro.

Senarillos in his  Facebook  page also took time to thank everyone who helped them on their voyage in this year's Davraa . (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
