P3.4 million worth of shabu seized in Davao City

DAVAO CITY- Members of Sasa Police Station alongside other security units here confiscated a total of over P3.4 million worth of shabu and arrested three suspects in two separate buy-bust operations here on March 14.

Davao City Police Office identified the first arrested suspect as Aycelle Nave Ramin alias Madam, 35 and a resident of Purok 4-A Km. 7.5, Barangay Matina Pangi this city.

Police said an entrapment operation was conducted against Madam at around 1:42 p.m. on March 14 at Purok 4-A Km. 7.5, Barangay Matina Pangi, Davao City.

Confiscated from her were an estimated of 52.44 grams of shabu worth more or less P943, 920.

The same operatives conducted another drug sting near a resort in Barangay Angliongto here at around 8 p.m of the same day, which led to the arrest of Hamsa Mamosaka Landoc alias Boss, 42, businessman, and a resident of Moncado Kadingil, Marawi City and a student, Nashif Manalocon Hamsa of Lumbaca Macadar, Lumbatan, Lanao Del Sur.

Landoc is considered as PNP’s Top 1 City Level Drug Personality. 

Seized from the suspects were a total of 140.67 grams of suspected shabu with street level value amounting to P2.5 million, one unit Fortuner, caliber .380, magazines, bullets, and cellular phone.

According to Police Regional Office (PRO) 11, the successful drug buy-bust operation is the result of the relentless campaign of the regional police against illegal drugs in Davao Region.

PRO 11 director Brigadier General Anden Delvo lauded the triumph of the operating personnel and units in their efforts and dedication to clear the region from illegal drugs.

Police said the arrested suspects who are curently detained at Sasa Police Station will face charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Landoc and Hamsa will also be charged for violating RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
