The distributed E-Titles, generated through the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, replaced traditional paper titles with a more secure and convenient digital format.
This format empowers ARBs, granting them easier access to credit, streamlined inheritance processes, and the ability to leverage their land for new income-generating opportunities.
The distribution is the second installment of regionwide E-title distribution which marks the successful implementation of the first land tenure security program foreign-assisted project in partnership with World Bank and other implementing agencies.
The same ARBs previously received their Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. who led the distribution said that the benefits that the farmers received will not stop from the e-titles and that the government will continue to support the farmers towards their objective of making them self-reliant and economically progressive.
"Unang hakbang lamang sa pagkakamit ng kalayaan sa kahirapan (ang distribution ng lupa)," he said.
The President vowed to complete the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program(CARP) and distribute the covered lands to the farmers before his term ends.
Marcos also highlighted the recently enacted New Agrarian Emancipation Act that will free the farmers from their debt to the government.
The awarding of e-titles is part of the campaign promise of Marcos that he will speed up the distribution of landownership in the country.
