In a short video message on his official Instagram account, President Marcos said a “Bagong Pilipino” knows how to take care of oneself. 

“Kaya’t ngayong Buwan ng mga Puso, ipagdiwang natin ang pagmamahal sa ating mga sarili,” President Marcos said while on a treadmill.   

“Alagaan natin ang ating mga puso dahil walang ibang mag-aalaga diyan kung hindi ikaw lang, lalo na kung single ka,” he added.   

Valentine’s Day on February 14 is also Ash Wednesday, or the start of the liturgical 40-day season of Lent that requires fasting and abstinence for the Catholic faithful. (PND)
