Delvo, other Davao Region police officers support PNP leadership amid ‘destab plot’

DAVAO CITY- The Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Alden Delvo and his other unit commanders have expressed full support to the leadership of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 earlier released its manifesto of support to Acorda following the alleged destabilization plot against the Marcos administration.

“We, the officers and men of the Police Regional Office 11 would like to express our sincere and unwavering support for the esteemed leadership of our PNP chief,” the statement reads.

PRO 11 underscores the tireless efforts of Acorda in ensuring that the morale of the members of the organization remains intact and has not gone unnoticed.

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the insinuations made by retired Brigadier General Johnny Macanas that the PNP is involved in the destabilization talks with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) against the present administration,” the statement further said.

The Davao Region Police have pledged to resist the insidious encroachment upon their democratic rights.

“We commit ourselves to the vigilance necessary to safeguard our democracy against those who want to pin down our present administration and from those who would seek to undermine democracy from within the halls of power,” it reads.
