The chess master from Dasmarinas City got 6. 5 points by winning six games and drawing one. The same thing happened to International Master Daniel Quizon also from Dasmarinas City and International Master Rolando Nolte from Quezon City.
Concio was declared the winner because he had better tie-break points, putting Quizon in second place and Nolte in third place.
The three winners shared the P20,000 cash prize equally between them.

In the tournament that had 223 players, the other top performers were Romeo Alcodia, Alexis Emil Maribao, Angelo Young, Voltaire Marc Paraguya, and Daren dela Cruz. Romeo Alcodia finished with 6. 0 points in the tournament, which lasted for 10 minutes plus 5 seconds more for each move.
Completing the top 15 players were Mark Jay Bacojo, Barlo Nadera, Rogelio Antonio Jr. , Benjie Bercadez, Christian Mendoza, Phil Martin Casiguran, Jasper Faeldonia, Ronald Bancod, Adrian Ros Pacis, and Noel dela Cruz.
The tournament was organized to remember and honor the late Filipino grandmaster on his birthday and the day he passed away. GM Antonio and Engr. Garcia had a meeting today to discuss their project progress. They talked about the challenges they are facing and the steps they need to take to overcome them. They also talked about their future plans and how they can improve their project. It was a productive meeting and they were both satisfied with the outcome.
Allan Anthony Alvarez, Jessie Villasin and Mimi Casas performed the ceremonial moves to start the tournament. Former NCFP leader Red Dumuk, NCFP boss Martin "Binky" Gaticales, and Engineer Antonio Carreon Balinas attended the closing and awarding ceremonies of a one-day tournament.
The tournament was sponsored by the family of the late GM Balinas and supported by NCFP director Engr. Rey Urbiztondo is a part of the Rising Chess Unlimited Developmental Program and he is associated with Open Kitchen Food Hall. Abraham Tecson and the legal counsel of the Bayanihan Chess Club, Atty. (Attorney) Rodolfo Enrique "Rudy" Rivera is his full name.
