A brand new one unit Rusi Chariot Motorcycle costs at P144, 000 and a brand new unit of Utility Van worth P1.3 million were purchased using the Gender and Development Fund (GAD) fund.
Santo Tomas Mayor Ernesto Evangelista said the vehicles will further improve the efficiency of services of the local government that can benefit its residents.
Evangelista and Municipal Administrator lawyer Elisa Evangelista-Lapiña led the blessing of the newly-acquired vehicles in the Municipal Covered Court on Monday (December 13).
“Kining gipalit na mga sakyanan sa MSWDO dako kini na tabang para mas paspas ang paghatag og serbisyo sa katawhan. Atoang i-capacitate ang mga opisina na frontline sa paghatag og serbisyo sa katawhan (These vehicles we purchased for the MSWDO will really be a big help for quick delivery of services for the people), " he said.
The mayor said that the money coming from the people should benefit them by using it properly by providing service they deserve.
