Colonel Joseph Jeremias Cirilo C Dator was named Philippine Army's Innovator of Military Intelligence for his innovative practices in Intelligence operations.
During his leadership as MIB Commander, his unit neutralized four Front Secretaries and seven Commanding Officers of the Communist Terrorist Group. The MIB, likewise helped dismantle six Guerilla Fronts and two Sub-Regional Guerilla Units, which resulted in the attainment of an Insurgency-Free Davao Region.
Dator dedicated himself to reaching out to the enemies.
"I give a kindhearted approach on how we could reach out to our enemies, for them to know that we are not their enemies but their partners in achieving long and lasting peace in Region 11," Dator said.
In October of last year, the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) 11 officially declared Davao Region as Insurgency-Free.
