The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 reported that 40 kilos of suspected dried marijuana leaves were seized by joint elements of PDEA, NBI, PNP Drug Enforcement Group 11 and Davao City Police Office.
A 21-year old, Jenboy Remulta was arrested at 12:30 a.m in Sto. Nino, Barangay Agdao Proper in possession of 10 kilos of marijuana valued at P1.080 million.
Also arrested were John Carlo Tagalog, 28, in a drug sting at Old Airport Road, Sasa.Confiscated from him were 10 kilos of marijuana, buy-bust marked money, and a motorcycle he used in his illegal drug activities.
Meanwhile, another 18 kilos of dried marijuana was confiscated from an 18-year old Joniel Ingkong at Barangay Pampanga. The drugs seized from him have an estimated value of P2.1 million.
Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
