The top cop said the PNP will implement a scheme that will allow personnel to perform duty near their homes.
“I am asking the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management to find a way for commissioned and non-commissioned officers to perform their duties away from their original assignments if needed,” Carlos said.
He said that this work arrangement is not new as this was first implemented during the time of former PNP chief and now senator Ronald Dela Rosa.
The policy of canceled holiday vacation for police personnel will be sustained but at least they will have the opportunity to still spend Christmas with their families, according to Carlos.
Police officers will be deployed to police stations which are nearest to their homes.
Carlos said policemen can also serve as an augmentation force if there are emergencies that will require their assistance.
