CFO-Davao office reopens in new location to better serve Mindanao clients

DAVAO CITY—Emigrants from Mindanao will have easier access to the frontline pre-departure services of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) with the reopening of its extension office in Davao City.

Established on June 16, 1980, through Batas Pambansa 79, the CFO is an agency under the Office of the President tasked with promoting and upholding Filipino immigrants’ interests, rights, and welfare and strengthening their ties with their home country.

The CFO-Davao Office is now located at Unit 309, 3rd floor, Pink Walters Building, Quimpo Boulevard, Ecoland, Davao City. It will officially reopen to serve the public on Monday, May 22.

The public knows that attendance at the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) and Guidance and Counseling Program (GCP) is strictly by appointment, and requests for specific time slots will not be entertained. Walk-ins are available for senior citizens, pregnant women (with medical certification), PWD (must have PWD ID), and minors aged 12 and below. (Romeo Braceros Jr.)
