PDEA 11 Director Aileen Lovitos said the test yielded negative results for the presence of narcotics from urine samples that were taken from key officials, drug enforcement officers, administrative, and technical staff, including contractual and job order personnel assigned at the PDEA Regional Office 11 here on Wednesday (Dec. 8).
Lovitos who spearheads the conduct of drug testing said the activity happened during the accounting of personnel at PDEA Regional Office 11 at Camp Captain Domingo E Leonor, San Pedro Street.
The test was administered pursuant to Section 36 (e), Article III of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which states that officers and members of the military, police and other law enforcement agencies shall undergo an annual mandatory drug test.
The drug test was also conducted in accordance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy of the agency.
