“Beyond connectivity Globe addresses the day- to -day pain points through various innovations that will make our lives easier,” speaking at the Globe Group media Christmas appreciation party at Dusit Thani Hotel-Davao on Friday (Dec. 2),Yoly Crisanto, the chief sustainability and corporate communications officer of Globe Group said.
“We are still the country’s mobile leader and the globe group goes beyond telco providing services in philtech, endotech, e-commerce adtech, climetech, outsourcing and managing services enterprise data and investment and supports customers’ recreational needs through innovations in entertainment, gaming and sports,” she said.
These innovations embrace various aspects including financial services, health, entertainment, gaming, transportation, among many others.
Crisanto mentioned Globe’s GCash and Consulta MD as two of the portfolio companies of Globe thatare of great help to the Filipino people.
“During the pandemic your mobile e-wallet GCash became the lifeline of Filipinos,” she said. For this, GCash experienced exponential growth with 20 million users at the beginning of the pandemic to 71 million users as of today, Crisanto stressed, adding that GCash benefits mostly to those who are unbanked.
Aside from providing savings and investment accounts, GCash has expanded its services, now allowing its millions of users to buy stocks, which has now become the reach of the multitude of Filipinos, Crisanto said.
She also highlighted Consulta MD or telehealth service of Globe as becoming a “super ap”.
Aside from its affordability, users could also avail the delivery of medical needs to their homes.
Crisanto said Globe currently has a total of 98 partner companies all working to provide innovations that will address the Filipinos’ needs thereby helping uplift their lives.
Just recently, Globe has launched a partnership with an electric vehicle company based in Korea in relation to providing the country’s transportation sector with electric vehicles, Crisanto said.
