VACCINES FOR BAYANIHAN BAKUNAHAN

The Armed Forces of the Philippines remains supportive to the inoculation program of the government. In preparation for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days dubbed “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” from November 29 to December 1, the Western Mindanao Command facilitated the transport of vaccines from Zamboanga City to Jolo, Sulu via the C295 aircraft of the Philippine Air Force on Friday morning (Nov. 26).

The vaccines were transported from Manila to Zamboanga onboard a commercial plane earlier and were picked up by personnel from the Ministry of Health-BARMM together with the troops from Joint Task Force Zamboanga. The vaccines were then loaded in the C295 aircraft and transported to Jolo, Sulu according to Maj. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., commander of Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom).

A total of 29 boxes of vaccines were successfully transported.  Of the number, 21 boxes contain 32, 800 vials of Sinovac, and the remaining eight boxes contain 7,215 vials of Pfizer vaccines. (By Ruth Palo)
