With her dancing partner Anselmo Estillore Jr., Eleanor Hayco, the wife of Cebu's "father of dancesport" and former head of the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC), won the most gold medals.
Four gold medals were won by Hayco and Estillore Jr., and two more were won by teammates Hanay More and Elmer Fernando.
Senior single dance competitions in the chacha, rumba, jive, and senior 3 dance categories were won by Hayco and Estillore Jr.
The senior single dance tango and slow waltz were won by More and Fernando, respectively. In the senior 3 dance category, they also won a silver medal.
Alvilon Arriesgado and Malvin Jamali, who won a silver medal in the amateur open ballroom standard, joined them on the winning team.
The Dancesport Challenge Cebu City, a monthly grassroots dancesport competition, was recently held by DTCC at the SM Seaside City Cebu on October 1-2.(Romeo Braceros Jr.)
