“We have a lot of barangays with zero COVID-19 cases. It's been days that we did not have critical or high-risk areas from November 14 to 20, Dr. Michelle Schlosser, the spokesperson of the city’s COVID-19 task force said
She said the 46 remaining barangays remaining that still have cases of the virus usually record one to two cases only.
“We no longer have establishments on lockdown. We are so thankful to all establishments in Davao City, the establishment owners have been very cooperative,” Schlosser said.
She said since the last surge of COVID-19 cases in the city, the Task Force had conducted regular dialogues with establishment owners, who initiated help in reducing the cases among their employees.
“They have always been supportive of our guidelines and protocols, they follow it diligently,” she said.
As of November 26, the city recorded only nine COVID-19 cases and currently has a total of 187 active cases.
Since March 2020, the city has recorded a total of 53,751 COVID-19 cases, 51,785 recoveries, and 1,779 deaths.
