Davao Occidental Tigers, Adamson, and FEU spice up Kadayawan basketball tourney

DAVAO CITY— The Davao Occidental Tigers, Adamson University Falcons, and Far Eastern University Tamaraws are three of the six teams competing in the Kadayawan 2022 Invitational basketball tournament in two separate venues in Davao City from August 18-21.

The Falcons will use the tournament as preparation for the next UAAP men's college basketball wars.

The Falcons and Tamaraws will have their hands full in the tournament as they will be competing against four other semi-professional teams in the four-day tournament.

Also joining the tournament are the host Davao team, Gensan Bulalakaw, and Zamboanga Valientes.

The first day of the tournament will be held at RMC Gym on August 18 (3:00 pm–9:00 pm), and the next three games will be held at USEP Gym on August 19–21 (3:00 pm–9:00 pm).

The tournament is open to the public for free.

The tournament is also interesting as the Racela brothers, Nash and Olsen, are set to face each other again in a pre-season UAAP tournament.

Since his team, led by spitfire Jerom Lastimosa, is doing well in preseason basketball tournaments, Nash feels confident facing the other teams in the game.

Olsen, for his part, is also confident of his team's chances in the tournament since the Tamaraws are always a traditional basketball powerhouse. (Romeo Braceros, Jr.)
