Davao City Council to make amendments on ordinances in line with PBBM economic recovery programs

DAVAO CITY — The City Council will review existing policies and create new ones, as needed, to align with the directives of President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr's plans and programs for economic recovery and in helping the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME).

This was bared by City Council's Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industry chairman Councilor Bernie Al-ag after the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Marcos on Monday afternoon (July 25).

"I am excited to see these unveil in the coming months," he said. 

Al-ag said the programs of Marcos need to be backed so that it will be implemented, with Mayor Sebastian Duterte championing the causes of the business sector that will result to more jobs and much better economic health in the city.

He said the City Council will study, explore and find innovative solutions that will propel more economic activities to promote the MSME along with other government agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry, Davao City Investments and Promotions Center, the business sector such as the Davao City Chamber of Commerce, while continually making the city an attractive area for large investments.
