Carlos: ICC needs to prove no domestic probe on Duterte’s war on drugs before proceeding to PH

National Security Adviser Prof. Clarita Carlos debunked a rumor circulating on social media that she is in favor of the International Criminal Court's investigation on the war on drugs by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

In an online interview with Anthony Taberna on Sunday, Carlos said she was asked by the  question two years ago and she already cleared her position on the issue.

"Very clear ang position ko niyan. Yang ICC na yan bago sila maka-imbestiga, kailangan munang i-establish na there are not enough-adequate investigations being done on the domestic level," she said.

She said if the ICC cannot establish that there are  no investigations conducted in the local level then they couldn't proceed.

Carlos said people are just hollowing her statements and just get the lines they need to make clout.

"Napagod na ako ng kaka-correct niyan," she said.

Carlos said these people seems to have a selective perception and confirmation bias to the statements that she uttered.

"Meaning, in an array of sentence that I've been articulated, over so many minutes then you only choose the ones that you want to shoot me down with," she said.

She said to those who want to crtiticize her on the issue, they should listen to the whole statements she said to get the real picture.

" Kaya nga ayaw ko ng recorded interviews kasi ang gagawin nila, i-splice lang nila yan tapos aalisin nila ang premises ko," she said.

Carlos said if they removed the so-called assumptive frameworks, then the next argument will really lost its real meaning.
