In a statement, Acting Presidential Spokesperson Presidential Communications Secretary Martin M. Andanar said based on the latest survey result, Duterte garnered 75 percent approval rating and 69 percent trust rating.
"Having said this, we express our deep gratitude to the Filipino people for standing behind the President who has broken barriers and has overcome challenges in his six years of service to the nation," he said.
Andanar said the team of outgoing Duterte administration is thankful to the public for their support which brings genuine, meaningful and positive change, which a great majority of Filipinos felt.
He made the comment after he was asked regarding the development impact of post-EDSA 1 Administrations.
"As we are about to enter another chapter in our political history, let us continue to be united in our purpose to make the Philippines a peaceful, proud and progressive country that we all want our nation to be," he said.
