Davao City gov’t accepts space applications at Roxas Night Market

The Davao City Economic Enterprises (CEE) announced they are now accepting applications from Dabawenyos who want to sell goods at the Roxas Night Market from Sundays to Saturdays.

Derect Cainglet, administrative staff of the City Economic Enterprise (CEE) said qualified applicants will compose the second batch of vendors to be given space at the Night Market through raffling on June 20 followed by an orientation on June 22.

He said his office started accepting applications on May 23 in preparation for the second batch of vendors and will run until June 3, Friday.

According to Cainglet, there is a rotation of vendors every three months to give chances to other small entrepreneurs. 

He noted that the city has been earning from the operation of the Night Market. 

The city has already earned a total of P1,050, 370 from the rentals of 258 vendors since its reopening last March 2022. 

The night market currently has 56 stalls for the food section, 56 for the accessory section, 65 for RTW (Ready-to-Wear), and 72 for the massage section.

Based on the tax order of payment, the daily rental for the stalls is P100 per day for the food section, P70 per day for accessories, P70 per day for RTW, and P20 per day per massage therapist.

A letter of intent is needed to those who want to apply and will fill out an application form to be provided at the Davao City Recreation Center (formerly Almendras Gym).
