Jilliana Winstelle Dagpin, a student of the Ateneo de Davao University Junior High School, won a gold medal in the Cadet Female Brown B division of the tournament. Some of the top poomsae practitioners participated in the Philippines.
On February 12, Dagpin also won a gold medal in the 2022 2nd Regional Taekwondo Championship Poomsae and Speed Kicking last in Mati City, Davao Oriental.
Dagpin, won a gold medal in the Free Kicking Cadet Female Brown Novice 2.
In April and May last year, Dagpin also won two medals in the 4th Lents Taekwondo Worldwide Sports Online Poomsae Open 2021.
Dagpin won a gold medal in the recognized Poomsae colored belt individual female last May 8.
Dagpin beat 17 athletes from nine countries in the event.
On April 24-25, Dagpin also won a silver medal in the same tournament in the individual female under the 17 category.
Overall, the tournament participated in 654 athletes from 46 counties and was done to showcase Poomsae's excellence and provide help to the Sri Lankan orphans.
Dagpin, a resident of Magtuod, Maa here, is happy with her international victory. The medals are the fourth one for Dagpin in the last three months since last March 2-12, she also won two medals in the 2nd Poomsae Lover International Online Championships.
The young Poomsae practitioner won gold and silver medals in the color belt advance level female cadet category in the tournament participated in by 12 countries and 29 players. Before her international win, Dagpin, a member of Katma Taekwondo and Fitness Club of coach Renato Jun Liwag has also won several local and national taekwondo tournaments in the past.
