She said the local government will receive the brand-new firetruck from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Office of the President.
Evangelista-Lapiña was in Manila with Municipal Fire Marshal Senior Inspector Melvin Esporsado to personally receive and sign the documents that would warrant the release of the brand new firetruck.
Both municipal officials were accompanied by FO2 Patrick Arvin A. Paragoso and FO1 Julius M. Estabillo.
The Municipal Administrator said the brand new firetruck is equipped with better and updated firefighting setup.
She said that BFP-Santo Tomas now more than ever needs to continue to protect and serve Tomasinos against fire and other calamities.
