“Muabot pud ang gipalit na nato na brand new ambulance para sa Barangay New Katipunan kay importante na ma-augment ang operasyon sa maong barangay ilabi na sa paghatag og serbisyong medikal ug uban pa,” he said.
Evangelista said that the brand new ambulance purchased by his administration through a counter-parting scheme with Barangay New Katipunan is an important tool in fighting the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) since it is used in contact tracing, transporting patients to health facilities, particularly those who need immediate medical attention and response.
He said the brand new ambulance has an oxygen cylinder, folding stretcher, scoop stretcher, examining light, among others.
The ambulance unit will be delivered next week after the Inspectorate Team had checked the specifications of the unit.
Evangelista said he thanked Barangay New Katipunan village chief Armando Torres for having the initiative to improve the delivery of medical and health services for his Tomasino constituents in his barangay.
“Diri nimo mailhan kung kinsa ang mga Kapitan na naay katakos ug functional sa ilang paghatag og serbisyo sa ilang mga barangay. Ilabi na ang paggamit og sakto sa ilang budget para mapalapdan ang serbisyo na ginahatag nato sa Santo Tomas LGU,” he said.
Meanwhile, Liga ng mga Barangay President Ricky Inodioan said that improving the health services in every barangay is essential as he commended the Evangelista administration for “trying to make both ends meet for our Tomasino constituents.”
